The conditions for fluking have been absolutely perfect before the tide change with the wind and tide together, and the fluke have been coming over the rail!Two angler, Jerzy Pytel and Jham tied for high hook with 4 keepers, and Mark McQuaid tied Mike Butler for the pool with a pair of 5 1 4 pound fluke.

Caught the very last of the outgoing water which gave us terrific conditions, and we picked away with a very good keeper ratio. Bill Burns caught the heaviest fluke on this drift, weighing 5 lb 10 oz, making him the new leader in the monthly pool.
Fourth Drift We are back to catching a few each time we stop with a keeper or two mixed in. Also, the early leader for the month of July is Mr. Co-June Flukemaster winner Carmine Mangini with a 4 lb 1 oz fish.
Steve Kerry, who holds the record for the most titles, and Wayne Smith are no strangers to winning the big money on the last day of the month. Mr. Smith knocked off Walter Petka on the last drift of the last day of the season.
Carmine Mangini caught an 8lb 4oz fluke this morning which was good enough to create a tie in the monthly pool, something that has never happened until today. The man who Carmine tied up is Carmen Patullo, who boated his 8lb 4oz fish on June 13th during one of our evening trips.

We catch a few fish on each drift, and as each day progresses, we grind it out and the numbers on a whole do add up. Today for instance the biggest fluke on the boat was 8lb 4oz which tied the monthly pool fish.
